SPRINGFIELD, OR — A mother was given a ride to jail after giving her kids a ride in a little red wagon behind her car on Wednesday.
According to the Springfield Police Department, several witnesses called 911 when they saw a white Ford Taurus driven by 27-year-old Alana Nicole Donahue pulling her two young children, 3 and 5, behind her car through a traffic circle. The car with the wagon attached to it continued to go around in circles at a slow rate of speed.
Several witnesses tried to stop the mother, exiting their vehicles to confront her. However, Donahue rebuked good Samaritans by saying, "Be an adult about it," according to the report.
Springfield police said the mother just wanted to show her kids a good time and was not drunk or high.
Authorities eventually caught up to Donahue after she departed from the traffic circle. She was arrested and charged with two counts of reckless endangerment.
