Matthew Zaydel brings donuts
This wanted man lost a bet with police, having to surrender on misdemeanor warrants and losing donuts.

REDFORD TOWNSHIP, MI — 21-year-old Matthew Zaydel was wanted by the Redford Township Police Department for several misdemeanor warrants when he offered a deal to police too sweet to pass up on October 16.

Matthew Zaydel challenge
Using an alias account, Matthew Zaydel's challenge was accepted.

Mr. Zaydel posted on the department's Facebook page how he would turn himself in if their next post would garner 1,000 views, but that wasn't what made the cops excited. Mr. Zaydel also guaranteed to bring a box full of donuts.

Less than an hour later, the post achieved 1,000 shares and Mr. Zaydel made good on his promise, entering the police station by himself with the goodies. The police then traded the sweets in Mr. Zaydel's hands with handcuffs; he was arrested and hauled to jail.

The Redford Township Police Department thanked the public for making all of this goodness possible.
